    VHF+ HAM stations...

At the risk of stating the obvious, VHF+ ham stations are Amateur Radio stations which have the capability of operating on VHF+ frequencies. They range from very simple to quite complex. A simple station might consist of a single, multi-mode, multiband radio and a couple of small yagi antennas on a modest tower or push-up pole. Such a radio could be one of the currently available whcih cover HF through 144MHz (2 meters) plus 430-450MHz (70cM band). A complex station would sport several radios and several tall antenna towers each with multiple, high-gain antennas.

VHF+ stations can also be mobile. During contests, these stations are called rovers. These, too, can range from very simple to quite complex, but in all cases are very productive during contests, traveling through areas in which no fixed VHF+ stations exist. Mobile VHF+ stations are also important to VHF+ operators who are trying to earn VUCC by making contact with a predetermined number of maidenhead grids.

Below is are three lists of VHF+ stations which VHF South stations have worked, one organized by callsign, one by grid square and the final a list of mobile stations by callsign. This is an ever-evolving set of lists. If you know of an active VHF+ station which is not shown and is located within or on the edge of the 5th call area, please notify the VHF South web guy.

THESE LISTS ARE BEING GENERATED FROM CONTEST LOGS AND ARE BEING SCRUBBED TO ELIMINATE "OUT-OF-AREA" CALLSIGNS
